The Kerameikos Archeological site and museum in the morning. The site had the Dyplon Gate, where the old wall was built by Themistocles. Panathenic processions used to start there and led to the Ancient Agora of Acropolis.  Then went to the Acropolis of Anthem in the evening for the views of Parthenon, Temple of Athena

Hydra Island. It. Was. A. Perfect. Day.  I would not detract or add anything to it. The water was breathtakingly blue and turquoise. The food in Marina Tavern was heavenly delicious. The breeze was offsetting the heat in the middle of the day. The charm of the Greek island was spellbinding. 

Hadrian’s Library. Roman Agora. Edem beach.

Went to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), which houses the National Library of Greece.

Went to the Edem beach. It was super windy today and somewhat cold on the beach. The waves of the Aegean Sea (Saronic Gulf) were pretty restless. Daniel still swam but it was not the most pleasant experience. So, he resorted to his Stone Age activities of sharpening a stone. 

Went to the National Archaeological Museum in the morning. Daniel liked the first part of the NAM with bronze daggers, gold masks and coverings for burial. And I loved the Antikythera Ephebe, the bronze statue of the youth from the Antikythera shipwreck.

Came early in the morning to the center to stroll the Dionysiou Areopagitou street and it was so cool! Really enjoyed walking it with the Acropolis in the backdrop. 

Went for a run 2.5 mi at around 10am – was so unpleasantly hot. The Friday market was already bustling on our street.
