Grocery shopping at LIDL in the morning. Then Muzeiko – excellent science-like museum for kids. Swimming/workout at 3pm. 

Hiking Vitosha Mountain – Boyana Church and Boyana Waterfall. 

Went to the National Museum of History. Nice museum, very soviet looking building, quite imposing on the inside too. I wonder what KPSS party meetings took place there before?!

Aylak day. Went to LIDL in the morning to get pastry for breakfast and other food. Managed to get to the gym by 12 pm!  Originally, wanted to go hiking today but after two days of rain figured it would be way too muddy on the mountain. 

Work out E/swim D at Inergy Fitness at 10 am. Sightseeing in the afternoon. 

National Art Gallery, National Ethnographical Museum – both museums are in the same building of the royal palace. The palace itself is very modest compared to the palace of Madrid or Versailles, but it is still beautiful inside as you can see on one of the pictures.

Took a day trip to Plovdiv, and managed to go on the local Free Plovdiv tour with Alexander.

Walked through the city towards St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. Stopped on the way to check a couple of gym/swimming pool places for me to work out and for D to practice swimming – one of them was closed, the other one was too far away from us.

Took Free Sofia Tour. As with any free city tour, it’s an excellent way to have an introduction to the city. We typically don’t take any pictures during those tours as it distracts from the experience.

Flew to Sofia, Bulgaria.
