Decided to go to Süleymaniye Mosque again! Wanted to see it in day light. I enjoyed it even more knowing the history of Roxelana.
- Walked along the Galata Bridge enjoying the sight of the Golden Horn waters.
- Went to check out the Grand Bazaar (Kapali Carsi), but was totally disappointed. Such a tiring tourist trap.
- Went to the hotel area, had lunch at another Uzbek restaurant. Uigur lagman, plov, manti and adjika souce were delicious! We also ordered lulya kebab (was ok, not the greatest because it was not made on fire) and tandir somsa (was also ok). All in $25.
- Went to Kariye Camii mosque. It was a church before it was converted to the mosque, but the entrance fee was EUR 20. Seriously?! Again, another attempt to prey on foreign tourist. All original mosques are free but not the ones converted from christian churches. I guess they attract tourists more than the others.
- Walked back home. Stopped by Fatih Mosque. Then another one.
