Just exploring the city, no agenda. Trying to figure out how to use the subway.
- City Hall – free VR tour (5-10 min), some ancient ruins.
- Seoul Financial Center – pic near NB office.
- Lunch at a local cafe.
- Dental fair set up on the Cheonggye Plaza right in front of Cheongyecheon stream – got tons of freebees – xylitol, toothpaste, vitamin C. Daniel made his own toothpaste!
- Learned more about King Sejong the Great (1397-1450) and Hangul writing system, which he created, in the free exhibition underneath the Gwanghwamun Plaza.
- Job fair for 40-60 yo (of all the things!) – got a great free latte there, won free re-usable cups.
- Enjoyed Seoul Open Library – lovely place outside with sand bags for sitting (which warm up when you sit on them), music, warm blankets and collection of books in Korean and English to read. It was so relaxing and awesome. Was my HP of the day.
- Gyeongbokgung palace – only went to the courtyard as it was already 5:30 and the place was closing at 6 pm. Then went through rental places for hanboks to gauge the price range and hanbok options as well as general pricing of different restaurants and food options in Seochon village (known for art, restaurants, cafes).
- Went at night to see scenic Han River from the Hangan bridge, walked to the Nodeul island. Great spot to work out and have a leisurely stroll.
- Word of the day: Hanbok – Korean traditional clothing.
