Ah, the joys of travel—sometimes it’s less ‘Eat, Pray, Love’ and more ‘Stress, Cancel, Rebook.’ This was one of those days. The place we stayed was so bad it made ‘terrible’ look like a compliment. Cue a showdown with Airbnb to cancel the nightmare.
Rebooking a new place in Tokyo last minute? Oh, just a casual exercise in patience and wallet endurance. Finally landed a new apartment and moved in by 9:30 pm. Victory never tasted so sweet—or so expensive.
But hey, it wasn’t all bad today! While I had a lovely lunch with June, M and D were living their best techie lives at the Apple Store Ginza. Call it a win-win: one got food, the others got nice chair massage. 🤪 Balance restored!
