Feb 1, 2025 – Johor Bahru, Malaysia

Singapore was the plan, but Daniel’s fever had other ideas—so instead of crossing borders, we crossed our fingers for a chill day.

Took a stroll to the Arulmigu Sri Rajakaliamman Glass Temple—admired it like window shoppers who forgot their wallets. Then wandered over to the Abu Bakar Mosque, where the heat was so intense it felt like we were being slow-roasted. Found refuge in the shade, soaking in the afternoon call to prayer, which was unexpectedly serene (and a much-needed break from the sun trying to melt us). Wrapped up the walk by passing JB’s 0 km point—felt symbolic, like a reset button on the day.
