Last Day in Jakarta: Chill mode activated, so we took it reeeeal slow. First stop: the nearby sports complex, where we had grand visions of gliding across a skating rink like pros… except, plot twist—it was under renovation. Dreams: shattered. Skates: unused. Spirits: mildly bruised.
Plan B? Senayan Park Mall, where sushi and free ice cream swiftly healed our disappointment. 🍣🍦Bonus surprise: an adorable collection of rabbits and kittens that may or may not have been for sale. Emotional support animals or impulse purchases? Unclear. But staring at them was therapeutic AF.
On the way back, I spotted perhaps the cutest business model ever—a guy selling tiny fish from his bike. A literal mobile pet shop. Obviously, this was a photo-op moment.
We wrapped up the day with Daniel doing victory laps in the pool, because no matter how slow the day, one must end it with some level of athletic achievement.
Jakarta, you’ve been a ride. Time to pack up and roll out to Bali!
