Rain, rain, go away… or at least give us an A! It’s been pouring all day—like, Noah’s Ark levels of commitment. Meanwhile, Daniel and I heroically battled Khan Academy’s unit tests (cue dramatic music) in physics (oh, the thrill!) and world history (plot twist: we’re not great at it). A tragic 77% passing rate in history stared us in the face. I, being the noble overachiever that I am, simply could not accept such mediocrity and went in for round two. Came back with an 87%. Not perfect, but hey, at least history won’t completely repeat itself.

Then, Marat and I did what any sane, rational humans would do in a downpour—we embarked on an epic quest for Beard Papa’s (Japanese style) eclairs. Nearly an hour of walking through what I can only describe as a live-action Waterworld, all for the sweet, custardy taste of victory. Worth it? Absolutely.

And because no day is complete without some questionable life choices, Daniel ended the night swimming laps in the rain. Again. He’s on a mission to stay in shape so he can rejoin his swim team when he gets back home. My role in this? Providing top-tier motivation by lovingly reminding him that if he slacks off, he’ll absolutely suck. Tough love at its finest.
