Mar 23, 2025 – Fairlie, New Zealand

Today, we set out for a hike at Lake Opuha — a chill 4.5-mile stroll along the lake to the dam and back. The views shouldhave been stunning, but alas, we were in the midst of a thick fog that made us feel like we’d accidentally wandered into Foggy Albion. Still, we persevered, because foggy or not, it was one picturesque hike. On one side, cows were casually munching away like they were starring in their own pastoral calendar, while on the other, the lake decided to play hide-and-seek with its own banks. Classic lake move, really.
