Took a leisurely stroll at the Kowloon Public Pier on Victoria Harbor, where it felt like Santa’s elves went overboard with their holiday decor—Xmas figurines everywhere! They even had stations for crafting your own free Christmas postcard. The harbor was stunning, though perpetually cloaked in a mysterious smog. Is it pollution or just Mother Nature’s Instagram filter?
Refueled at Shake Shack in a nearby mall. Then, we meandered to Kowloon Park, with a pit stop along Nathan Road, Hong Kong’s version of NYC’s 5th Avenue, only narrower and more crowded. Overall HK gives me NYC vibe in everything.
Rounded off the day with another harbor stroll at night, heading in a new direction to soak in the waterfront views, which were basically the same as earlier, but with a disco-ball vibe thanks to the city lights.
