Joined another free tour—Hong Kong Introduction. Because who doesn’t love free knowledge, right?
We learned about the legendary Feng Shui war that shaped the HK skyline. Turns out, even skyscrapers have their grudges! Took a partial ride on the Central-Mid-Levels Escalators—basically the red carpet of moving walkways. Pro tip: it’s the world’s longest outdoor covered escalator system, so you can casually brag about that next time you’re on a boring one. Along the way, we indulged in heavenly egg tarts that could turn any bad day into sunshine. The tour wrapped up at the serene Man Mo Temple, where we left our troubles to the incense smoke. Spiritual cleansing? Check.
Lunch was at Nom Nom Dumpling, because who needs a fancy name when the food speaks for itself? M and I devoured some Chongzing pork wontons that were so good we briefly considered moving in. Meanwhile, D had pork and scallop dumplings in noodle soup. Tasty? Sure. As good as ours? Nah. But D was happy, and that’s what counts.
Spotted some adorable double-decker trams that made us want to start a fan club.
Finally, we decided to hike at Mount Butler Viewpoint. Spoiler alert: we couldn’t find the trail entrance. Better luck next time!
