Today, we played tourist in the heart of the city, checking out Jamek Mosque, Independence Square (hello, Sultan Abdul Samad Building), Central Market, and the ever-bustling Petaling Street. Basically, we hit all the spots that scream, “You’re in KL!”
Along the way, we got adventurous with fruit shopping: grabbed some lanzones, which look like longans but have a tangy, sassy twist. Naturally, we also picked up longans because science demanded a taste test. Oh, and mangosteens—because who needs self-control when you’re surrounded by tropical deliciousness? Still no go for durian… the smell is just so… unappetizing. I’m working up my courage to try durian ice scream. Maybe, just maybe…
