Flying from Chiang Mai, Thailand to Hanoi, Vietnam.
We are staying at InterContinental on the Westlake, because #points. It’s a lovely place, and our room is with a gorgeous lake view. It’s cloudy today but there seems to be a smog overhangingthe area, but contrary to HK, it actually smells like smoke. I think it’s from whatever burning we’ve seen people were doing on the way from the airport.
In the evening we went for lunch to a local place recommended by the hotel and had a Pho Bo (noodle beef soup, reminded us of lapsha and a bit of beshparmak) at VND 40K or ~$1.60 per bowl. Loved the soup and the price!
