Another day, another hike. I know, I know – but we’re in Otago, New Zealand! What else are we supposed to do, lounge around on the couch? This time, we made our way to the Arrowtown lookout point to take in the jaw-dropping view of the valley from above. Because, why not get a little extra dramatic with the scenery?
On the way back, we swung by the historic site of the Chinese settlements in town. The huts those gold-diggers lived in were so tiny! Honestly, their life must have been a mix of grueling work and zero luxury. No frills, just thrills of the “barely surviving” variety.
