Decided to do another day trip to Kyoto. Kudo’s to Japanese phenomenal rail system, one doesn’t need much preparation. Just hop on a train with your Suica card ready.
- We visited Arashiyama Monkey Park Iwatayama. Daniel had a lot of fun feeding monkeys!
- Next up was the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. We decided to walk, but if strolling wasn’t your style, there were rickshaw drivers ready to give you a VIP bamboo tour—while doing all the legwork themselves!
- Skipped going to Kinkaku-ji Golden Pavilion—it felt like too much effort to get to one golden building. Instead, we wandered around the local mountains, where the leaves were just starting to blush red but hadn’t fully committed to their golden-orange-red glow yet. Still, the view was charming, especially with the water showing off like nature’s own Instagram filter.
- Tried matcha ice cream, although Marat opted for vanilla 🙂
