Took a day trip to Plovdiv, and managed to go on the local Free Plovdiv tour with Alexander.
- Beautiful town, second largest in Bulgaria. It has a lovely old town (something that Sofia doesn’t have), and a few ancient ruins easily accessible for free! Overall, had a wonderful time there. Wished we had more time for checking out a few local museums and the art gallery.
- Word of the day: Aylak is the art of not worrying in Plovdiv’s state of mind. Or Hakuna-matata of Plovdiv. I like aylak. Need to learn to do more of it!
