Work out E/swim D at Inergy Fitness at 10 am. Sightseeing in the afternoon.
- Check out the Central Sofia Market Hall – just a big supermarket, not a “real” central market where you’d negotiate prices from local vendors.
- Visited The Banya Bashi Mosque – beautiful mosque. Went inside – need to take off shoes and cover your head (for women); wear pants (for men). Didn’t take pictures inside as most of the religious buildings are sensitive to that. Call to prayer is 5 times but only three loud calls in the middle of the day are allowed due to noise regulation.
- Went to the Regional History Museum of Sofia – well curated. Enjoyed the room with Ferdinand’s wedding carriage – is truly luxurious and royal.
- Walked through the Serdica Archaeological Complex – about half of it is right in the open air, free of charge, which is plenty to examine. A small ancient basilica is there too adding to the richness of the site. The other part is underneath the street and requires a ticket.
